THE G. F. Shepard House
Built for the Shepard's around 1875, the 3 level Shepard house boasts lovely parquet oak floors, tall ceilings, wrap around front porch, and formal entertaining. Originally designed to house the family on the second floor, and the servants on the third, It is now being converted to house four guest rooms for future guests.
One of the outstanding features, is the quaint town of Bethel, only one block and an easy walk from the house. It's main street is lined with a varied array of shops. Eateries vary from formal dining to bakeries and cafes which occasionally feature visiting musicians. Antique shops abound, and a fine hobby shop and bicycle shop are 2 minutes away.
